Looks like I will have a delay before starting my personal BlackBerry project, since I am unable to download their JDE environment for my machine.
It appears the login process on the BlackBerry site is broken.
Will have to keep trying later.

- Got Registered, with a 2nd email account and re-try. However their login struts action appears to have a bug, it doesn't forward anywhere 2009-01-11
- Attempting to download the BlackBerry JDE, but their website registration process appears to be kaput. 2009-01-11
